Our Secret Diving Spots in the Seychelles

At Atoll Divers, we are passionate about diving. This means we also enjoy diving among ourselves. It’s a great opportunity to discover new dive sites.

Some of our dive spots are kept secret and do not have names. They are often great for spotting larger marine life such as reef sharks, whale sharks, manta rays, and more.

We particularly visit these sites in March, April, May, and October, November when the sea is calm everywhere. Mostly during full-day trips or very long-distance dives.

Knowledge Sharing

At Atoll Divers, our instructors are continuously trained to help you get the most out of your adventure. Our guides regularly update their training in both theory and practice. We ask them to sharpen their eyes to spot nudibranchs, mantis shrimp, sponge crabs, and also to share their knowledge and the specifics of the discovered spaces with you onboard. Diving is a moment for shared experiences, both before the dive, during the dive, and even after coming out of the water. It’s often enjoyable to learn about the camouflage techniques of octopuses, stonefish, or frogfish, and then spot them yourself later. Onboard, you will find several encyclopaedias dedicated to the flora and fauna of the Indian Ocean. We encourage you to sit down during navigation and ask your guide for explanations about your next discovery.

Education and Prevention

As part of our commitment to protecting young Seychellois who unfortunately tend to engage in professional diving without proper training, leading to accidents, Atoll Divers opens its doors once a month to offer courses to all Seychellois or residents of Seychelles. These courses are designed to raise awareness about the risks of scuba diving and the fragility of the marine ecosystem. The course is aimed at both local divers/fishermen interested in learning decompression techniques, slow ascents, and repetitive dives, as well as recreational divers who wish to explore specific topics such as fish reproduction or equipment maintenance. Freediving topics are also covered. This open and flexible format is primarily an opportunity for us to meet you and raise awareness about diving practices. The course is available in English, French, and Creole. Please contact us for schedule details.

Preservation of the Seychelles

Aware of the beauty and fragility of the Seychelles, we are committed to preserving our country. Our team use the days when you are not with us to dive, clean beaches, and tidy up dive sites. On the boat, depending on the season, we will offer you local fruits and even local cuisine if you choose a lunch onboard. We enjoy sharing Creole culture with you as much as possible. Anyone interested in volunteering is more than welcome.

Quality and Safety

Our diving equipment consists of two different brands. The cylinders and inflating system are from Coltri, 2021. The complete diving gear is from 2023 and the Mares brand.

Adaptable and of high quality, our equipment is periodically maintained and certified. The inflating system is inspected by a certified Coltri technician. Our boat is taken out of the water each year, inspected, and cleaned. The Sole Diesel engines are periodically cleaned, serviced, and the onboard generator is maintained. Additionally, you’ll find a freshwater tank to rinse your equipment and dedicated lockers if you wish to entrust us with your gear. Powered by: https://www.solediesel.com/en/
