Cleaning the Sea in Seychelles

Sea Cleaning in Seychelles: A Joint Initiative between Atoll Divers and the Ministry of Agriculture and Climate Change
On Saturday May 4, 2024, Atoll Divers Seychelles undertook a sea clean-up action in collaboration with Flavien Joubert, Seychelles’ Minister of Agriculture and Climate Change. The event also saw the participation of Apex, reinforcing the initiative with additional resources.
Divers from Atoll Divers accompanied the Minister for the extraction of old fishing nets and other marine waste. Although Seychelles’ waters are already renowned for their cleanliness, this effort reflects the community’s ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving the marine environment.
Atoll Divers is proud to participate in this type of initiative, demonstrating their dedication to preserving the natural beauty and fragile ecosystem of the Seychelles. This collaboration underlines the importance of collective action to protect our oceans and ensure a sustainable future for generations to come.
We also invite our guests to inquire at our front desk about participating in this kind of event, which we repeat several times a year. Join us in making an active contribution to preserving our marine environment, while enjoying a unique and rewarding experience.
